Perquimans Has No Three-Day Feed
The official Albemarle District Jail homepage provides no roster archive, recent-release tab, or rolling 72-hour filter. The same negative-evidence URL applies to both one-day and three-day questions because there is no separate release-list page. The jail links “Inmate Lookup” directly to VINELink site 34003, where a visitor searches one person. Perquimans Sheriff does not publish a parallel regional-jail release feed.

Check Three Days of Perquimans Releases
A three-day review should use fixed start and end dates. “Last 72 hours” can otherwise shift while the request is being handled. Albemarle holds the adult local custody record even when the Perquimans Sheriff made the arrest.
- Write down the three calendar dates and the time zone used for the request.
- Search the named person through the Albemarle VINELink link and confirm the reporting custodian.
- Call Albemarle at (252) 335-4844 for the person’s release or transfer status.
- Ask whether an existing release log can be produced for the fixed date range.
- Request admission and release time, disposition, destination, and arresting agency as maintained.
- Compare local results with the Perquimans court case and any receiving agency.
Use the Perquimans 24-Hour Releases page when the question is limited to the latest day. Neither window has an official public feed, so the difference is the requested period, not a different database.
Fields for a Perquimans 72-Hour Log
The jail publishes no online columns, cadence, photo field, or retention rule for a three-day list. The table identifies useful fields in an existing release entry or log. Ask the custodian to provide the wording it maintains, especially for the disposition and destination.
| Requested field | Why it matters over three days |
|---|---|
| Name and booking identifier | Separates people with similar names and connects the exit to one admission |
| Admission date and time | Distinguishes an older stay from a new booking |
| Release date and time | Places the event within the fixed three-day period |
| Arresting agency | Shows whether Perquimans was tied to the confinement event |
| Release disposition | Separates bond, court order, time served, commitment, and transfer |
| Destination | Identifies continued custody when the person did not enter the community |
| Charge or bond data | Connects the jail record to the correct court case as maintained |
Perquimans Weekend Release Review
A three-day span is useful because it can cross Friday through Sunday or include an observed holiday. That does not mean Albemarle follows a published weekend-release schedule. The research found no official release hours, early-release practice, holiday rule, exit location, or update cadence. Do not predict a Friday release or assume an event posts on the next business day.
Check the court Register of Actions for orders entered during the period and ask the jail for the operational date and time. A court order may explain authority for release but does not itself prove when staff completed discharge. When an order and custody status seem to conflict, check other charges and holds before treating the difference as an error.
Request the Albemarle Three-Day Record
Albemarle publishes no dedicated records form, fixed copy charge, or guaranteed response period. Supply the exact dates, identify Perquimans as the arresting or case county, and ask only for an existing release log or release entries. G.S. 132-6.2 allows access to existing public records in an available form but does not force an agency to create a new list or calculate a rolling window that it does not maintain.
Ask for electronic delivery and a cost estimate before work begins. North Carolina law permits actual reproduction costs and may allow a reasonable special-service charge for extraordinary resource use. If a field is withheld, request the statutory basis. For one person, include full name, date of birth if known, approximate admission, and the expected release range to help staff distinguish the event.

Verify Perquimans Status After Exit
Leaving Albemarle can mean community release or a transfer. A jail-to-NC DAC commitment, pickup by another county, federal handoff, or immigration detainer continues custody elsewhere. Use the release disposition and destination to choose the next database.
| Record | What it can prove | What it cannot prove alone |
|---|---|---|
| Albemarle release entry | Local exit time and recorded disposition | Status after an agency handoff |
| VINELink | Reporting custodian status and alerts | A complete historical three-day list |
| eCourts Register of Actions | Case event and legal disposition | Physical release time |
| NC DAC OPI | State prison and supervision status | Jail-only confinement |
| BOP or ICE locator | Status in the named federal system | Freedom from every custodian |
State Releases Are Not Jail Releases
The NC DAC monthly released-offender search can be filtered by release county and month. It is useful for people leaving state prison, but it is not a substitute for an Albemarle 72-hour list. A result that says Perquimans uses DAC’s release-county field. It does not establish release from Albemarle, county of conviction, or residence. Open the person’s OPI detail and read overall inmate and supervision status.
VINE Alerts During a Three-Day Window
NC SAVAN/VINELink covers North Carolina jails and Adult Correction prison, probation, and parole feeds. A user may search a matched person and register for available phone, email, text, or app alerts. Alerts can help during a weekend, but the service is still person-specific. It does not create a list of all Perquimans releases and does not cover BOP, ICE, juvenile detention, unbooked magistrate bond-outs, or local police holding.
After an alert, call Albemarle for the exact date, time, disposition, and destination. A transfer can require finding the new custodian and registering again. Never treat a stopped alert or absent result as enough proof of community release.
Resolve Conflicting Perquimans Dates
A booking date, court-order date, jail release time, state admission, projected release date, actual prison release date, supervision start, and database-update time can all differ without contradiction. Record the precise label and source for each date. Use the official NC DAC OPI search for state records. If OPI shows an old Actual Release Date but the overall inmate header is active, the old sentence block is historical. If OPI shows actual release plus active supervision, incarceration ended but supervision did not.
The strongest statement stays narrow: identify the custodian, the event label, the date, and any destination. That method is more reliable than a broad claim based only on the person being absent from a live screen.
Match Perquimans Records Across Three Days
A three-day result set raises the risk of confusing people with the same or similar name. Track the spelling used, date of birth if lawfully available, booking or offender number, arresting agency, custodian, case number, and exact release timestamp. The eCourts overview and Portal guidance explain the court search and Register of Actions; the live public Portal performs the actual case lookup. Identifiers from these systems are not interchangeable. A jail booking number should not be treated as an NC DAC offender number, BOP number, A-number, or court file number.
When records disagree, first ask whether the fields answer different questions. A judgment date, jail exit time, state admission date, supervision start, and database update can fall on separate days. Preserve a dated observation, identify its source, and ask the office that created the field what it represents. A reliable statement should name the agency and event, such as an Albemarle transfer followed by an OPI admission, rather than claiming a person was simply released.
Keep Perquimans Custody Systems Separate
Perquimans Juvenile Detention Center is a state-operated secure juvenile facility in Hertford, not an adult jail. Juvenile placement and release information uses restricted family, attorney, facility, and juvenile-court channels. Adult VINELink, OPI, BOP, and registry searches must not be used to reconstruct a child’s custody history.
No adult NC DAC prison, BOP institution, ICE detention center, or USMS-operated jail was verified within Perquimans County. Even so, a person connected to a Perquimans case may be held by one of those systems elsewhere. A transfer recorded during the three-day window should be followed through the named receiving system. BOP’s Released or Not in BOP Custody language covers BOP only. ICE locator absence may reflect exact-input problems or its limited recent-release window. Neither should be collapsed into proof of unrestricted community release.
The Perquimans Sheriff remains useful for its own arrest and investigative records, but Albemarle is the adult confinement custodian. Direct each request to the office that created the event.
